Rosemarie R. Van Patten, PhD, RN, Caritas Coach is an Associate Professor for the Baldwin Nursing Program at Siena College in Loudonville, NY. She has 40+ years of nursing experience and has worked in acute care, post-anesthesia care, home infusion/home care, and long-term care settings as a clinician and as a faculty member for pre & post-licensure nursing programs. Dr. Van Patten received her PhD in education with a specialization in nursing education from Capella University in 2014 (Graduation with Distinction) and holds a Master of Science in nursing education and a Bachelor of Science in nursing (Magna Cum Laude) from the State University of New York Institute of Technology of Utica/Rome (now known as SUNY Polytechnic Institute). She received her Associate in Applied Science Degree in nursing in 1979 from Maria College in Albany, NY. Her research interests are in infusion therapy, patient safety, student research, and caring science.
